Terra Cotta Pots Makeover

3 pots

Keeping in mind that spring is right around the corner or maybe not since the weather is fluctuating so much but either way i wanted these Terra Cotta Pots to have a complete spring transformation incorporating as much bright color as i possibly could.

neforeWe recently just bought  these clay pots for decorating the outside of our house and mostly ended up using more of them for the inside of the house which you can see here and knowing me and the DIY in me i  ended up buying literally the whole shop well thats what i wanted to but i had to keep my excitement under control so i just went with these cute little Terra Cotta Pots but i’m literally planning another trip because all those pots were such a perfect canvas for absolutely anything.

These pots had a particular design to them, initially i was all for the plain ones but these cute little ones caught my eye and i grabbed a bunch of them honestly  i had no idea what i wanted to do with them but i just knew i had to have them 😉

whiteMy first plan of attack was to color all the pots with all the paint i had leftover from various projects. This time around i didn’t use the easier route of spray paint but used Acrylic Paints plus i actually wanted to paint after a long time and this was a perfect reason to do so.

paintedAll painted and good to go i still had no idea what i wanted to do on them. I wanted to use a Sharpie and have like an Aztec print going on all the pots but thats too much  labor invested in these babies plus i dont really have like a super steady hand or patience for Aztec even though i love it so i went with the masking tape route.

yellowwAgain no set plan. No idea which colors to use on top the only plan was to get some sort of design going on.

blue potThen came the part  which i was dreading all along to actually sit down and think through as to what colors go with what.

ombre greennOn the green pot i ended up with the Ombre Herringbone theme that i used on the Ombre Herringbone Wall Art.Clearly i’m obsessed with it since i’ve been using the same colors on repeat 😉

yellow and pinkThe yellow just got a simple hot pink and green makeover i wanted more of the yellow to come through hence i used the other colors sparingly and kept the design on a minimum for this one.

blue and white

The white got a POP of blue and my favourite the Hot Pink Pot.

neon pinkkYou can never go wrong with hot pink i say 😉

greyyyThe grey had me super confused i just could not figure out for the life of me what to do with it and just somewhat ended up with a dark green and grey combination.

And there you have it  bright and vibrant color for the spring time. How Cute Right?
